The Veterans Memorial Park has become a destination at Highland Springs, and I am very proud of the partnership between our Veterans and our staff to make this happen. It certainly was an evolving project, with many offering their ideas and suggestions.
Our goal from a staff perspective has been to provide assistance with aspects of the project, with recognition of the imagination and hard work from the Veterans involved in the Memorial Park. I have received many updates from resident and staff leaders throughout the project and recall excitement and pride building as the Memorial Park began to take shape.
As different staff leaders have provided their assistance, we found ways to make the investments necessary to develop and enhance the Memorial Park. It has been a beautiful partnership and a perfect example that residents and staff can accomplish meaningful things together. The Veterans Memorial Park will continue to be enhanced in the future and our commitment is to provide support every step of the way.
